DAY 1

Let’s see if I can stay committed.

Another beautiful day that the Lord has created! I will rejoice & be glad in it :)

Went into my beautiful backyard today to play some good ol’ soccer when I realized that there was mud everywhere!

Although it wasn’t too bad I kept searching for a better or dryer ground. When I would look off in the distance I would spot an area that looked perfect! So I would run over there only to realize it was just as muddy. This process went on for a couple more minutes until I realized that I was just wasting my time.

Rather than looking for a dry spot it dawned on me that I would have to embrace the mud and just work through it.

God quickly showed me that the mud was like my life. 

In this life we are surrounded by materialistic idols and “goals” that we feel we must achieve in order to be happy. Instead of being content with who we are or what we have we constantly are searching for other goods, products, services, & social statuses to satisfy us. Yet as soon as we receive them or get to that “spot” or “goal” we realize it’s not as great as it seemed or as rewarding. 

Food for thought.

Was excited for spring break bc it was gonna be all girls + Jo & now it’s couples…. Not cool.
